System Sequence of Events

¨ Apex Destiny 6100 control panel,

rev. 8.05 or greater

¨ Apex RK36 or RKLCD keypad

- Quick Exit Without Disarming -

With the system armed, provide the ability

to temporarily shunt a zone or zones by

simply pressing a single keypad function

key (F1 or F2), allowing quick exit without

having to disarm then re-arm.

Press a keypad function key (F1 or F2), then exit through the appropriate zone. Upon returning,

press the function key again.

Note: As a safeguard, the control panel will automatically remove the shunt

after ten minutes (programmable).

1) Pressing the keypad function key (F2 will be used for this Application Note) will send an

ON command to Control Channel 1.

2) Control Channel 1 is programmed to energize the on-board relay (Auxiliary Output 8) which will

drop a 4.7k resistor across the contact switch/zone loop to be shunted.

3) Pressing the keypad function key again (F2) will send an OFF command to Control Channel 1.

The on-board relay will de-energize and remove the 4.7k resistor from the contact switch/zone

loop.

4) The control panel will also send an OFF command to Control Channel 1 ten minutes after first

pressing F2.

Note: This Application is for hardwired contacts/devices only.

This application can be used in providing convenience when letting the

dog out or taking the trash to the street.
